A new Geospatial Observation Center (GOC), operating under the ALCE regional framework and financed by Mexico, has been officially inaugurated at the University of the West Indies St. Augustine campus in Trinidad and Tobago. The facility produces freely accessible remote sensing data for the entire Caribbean region, targeting climate monitoring, agricultural land-use analysis, and real-time tracking of sargassum seaweed blooms.
